I have a dear friend, a mom of 4, who thinks she is always right, on her choices for herself and for every other mom she knows too. Finally, about 3 weeks ago, as I was detailing some difficulty with one of my special needs children, and she was giving her standard file advice, she ACTUALLY said, "oh you're right. That is a different situation, and it wouldn't work." That's the last time she gave me advice, but unfortunately another dear friend is having her first baby and takes my other friend's parenting advice like gospel. I'm curious to see how THAT turns out... Mainly because all the ideas you set down during your first pregnancy go out the window when REALITY hits, isn't that the fun part?
